Marisa Daly is a London-based freelance interior stylist with over six years experience in the interiors and magazine industry. After graduating in History of Art from University College London, she started work at the London Design Festival. She went on to spend a year assisting interior stylists on advertising and editorial shoots.
She later joined the decorating department at Homes & Gardens magazine in 2007, spending the next four years styling fabric and decorating shoots, compiling monthly shopping trend pages, seasonal gift lifts and supplements. In 2009, Marisa was awarded the Crown Interior Stylist of the Year ‘Newcomer’ Award.
During this time, she took a three month sabbatical working in Melbourne, Australia, for a bed linen textiles studio where she styled the company's catalogues.
In summer 2011 Marisa left Homes & Gardens to go freelance as an interior stylist. Since then she has worked with a variety of editorial, commercial and private clients including Sainsbury's, Everest Windows, Ryland Peters & Small, Smith & Gilmour, Eclectics Blinds and The Essential Kitchen Bathroom Bedroom Magazine. She has also styled the book 'The Balcony Gardener', published by Cico in 2012.
Every job requires meticulous organisational skills and Marisa has built up an extensive network of locations, set builders, seamstresses, photographers, prop resources and PR contacts. She is passionate about textiles, interiors, pattern and colour and enjoys keeping abreast of trends through research and travel.
